At its Ashford, UK, location, the global flavor and fragrances company Givaudan has established a brand-new Science and Technology Sensory Centre of Excellence.

The new center of the Swiss company aims to combine the evaluation and measurement of perfume benefits.

Michael Carlos, head of the fragrance division at Givaudan, stated that the company's core business is odour evaluation.
Carlos continued, "This investment gives our scientists state-of-the-art facilities for measuring fragrance performance and for precisely understanding the effect of different climates, conditions, and equipment on perfume performance."
The firm said the new office has been created with advanced administration frameworks, which work with exact temperature and moistness control, and can mirror the normal states of some random climate.

The business says that odor experiments are enabled in the specialist evaluation rooms and controlled testing booths to help develop fragrance functionality for personal care and home care products in real-world settings that mimic end-user use.

The air handling system in the building is intended to maintain odor neutrality.

According to Givaudan, the collection of fragrance evaluation booths enables uniform odour evaluation by trained panelists involved in fragrance testing for everything from shampoos and fine fragrances to household laundry and cleaning products.

The company intends to provide essential information for its research programs and its perfumers and fragrance development managers with the data gathered at the new facilities.
